The Veneer + Nature Initiative (IFN) mourns:
Bonn. The Veneer + Nature Initiative (IFN) e.V. mourns the death of its managing director Ursula Geismann. For eight years, she guided the fortunes of the Bonn-based association with great passion and drive. The long-standing home expert, design connoisseur and trend analyst, who was fully committed to the world of contemporary living and sustainable design, passed away last Sunday at the age of 60 after a short, serious illness.
"We are stunned by this loss. Ursula has always been an important pillar of support for us in recent years - as managing director and previously as press spokesperson - and has worked tirelessly every single day to promote the interests of our member companies in the veneer industry. She leaves behind a void that cannot be filled. We will miss her great commitment and professional expertise immensely,‘ said IFN Chairman Axel Groh. Decisions on how to proceed will be made in the coming days and weeks. 'For now, the focus is on mourning. The entire IFN board and office are deeply shocked by the news, and we all need to find our feet again first,‘ said Groh, concluding: 'We will definitely honour Ursula's memory and continue to work for the interests of the veneer industry in her spirit."
